Ace Lacewing : Bug Detective

Queenie Bee has been kidnapped! A blind maggot is the only witness. Everyone who was in the area seems to have an alibi. The only one willing to talk has been gassed. There is no reason to worry, though-Ace Lacewing, Bug Detective, is on the case. With a little luck and some help from his friends, Ace just might have this case wrapped up before the night is through. He had better. Coroner and girlfriend Doctor Xerces Blue will not be too pleased if he does not. And he had better be careful. Xerces will also not be too pleased if she has to take his body to the morgue. David Biedrzycki's light-hearted nod to old-time detectives is sure to appeal to parents as well as children. It was a night like any other night in the city. Hot and sticky. David Biedrzycki has been creating illustrations for book publishers, advertising agencies, magazines, and design firms since 1980. His art has graced the cover of KidSoft magazine, New England Aquarium billboards and children's software packaging, such as "The Amazon Trail" and "Odell Down Under." He is the author/illustrator of the Ace Lacewing, Bug Detective series as well as ME AND MY DRAGON and ME AND MY DRAGON: SCARED OF HALLOWEEN. He also illustrated THE BEETLE ALPHABET BOOK and DORY STORY. David lives in Medfield, Massachusetts.
