The American Chef

Scott Berg has been a chef for twenty-nine years; he knows first hand the difficulties in deciphering a cookbook. He has completed his first book for the novice as well as the experienced cooks. The American Chef is about his work as an American chef. This book has been in the works for the past seven years and delivers real recipes from a real working chef that really work. Scott Berg is from the Washington D.C. area and currently lives in Birmingham, Alabama. He is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, and has trained in Paris with the master chef Alain Pissard. His career has taken him from restaurants, full service catering, gourmet stores and sports event catering.
