Arion and the Dolphins

Based on an ancient Greek legend, this adventurous story tells of a young boy who faces trouble from a fearsome crew on his journey home through the ocean.

Sailing home with a prize of gold won in a musical contest, young Arion runs into a crew who is after his treasure. As he sees the danger in the eyes of the men after his prize, Arion joins forces with a friendly and brave school of dolphins as they maneuver their way out of the threats of the crew.

John Lonzo Anderson was born outside of Ellijay, Georgia. He graduated from Harvard University and married illustrator Adrienne Adams. Anderson and his wife collaborated on a number of children's books.
