First position, second position, third, fourth, fifth position
were my warmup exercises as I got ready for my ballet class.
I danced to the music of Florence Price, Scott Joplin, George Bridgetower, William Grant Still, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Ignatius Sancho, and Francis Johnson, all composers of African descent.
I danced with such grace and poise; every movement celebrated my charm. What elegance, passion, balance, technique –
plier, etendre, reliever, glisser, sauter, tourner.

Ann-Marie Zoë Coore, a native Jamaican, has over twenty years of experience in international public health and international business. She has worked for organizations and youth programs such as CDC Parent Matters Project, Office of Minority Health, and Integrated Social Solutions/AstraZeneca.  Ann-Marie is the President and Founder of Coore Foundation, and its subsidiary Girls Right Of Way (GROW) www.girlsrightofway.org. She leads the Coore Foundation's annual "HIV, STD, and Teen Pregnancy Prevention Camps" in the Caribbean, the USA, South & Central America, and Africa.  Ann-Marie also develops, implements and monitors intervention programs for children in twenty-three countries around the world. These programs include GROW Literacy – reading centers; GROW Sole – providing new and lightly used shoes to those in need and GROW Rhythm – music schools for children in high crime and under-resourced communities.
 
She is currently leading work with "GOD ROCKS", her publishing, production, and promotion company, and "I AM A QUINTESSENTIAL WOMAN", her company that supports women around the world to move mountains through women empowering women in an atmosphere of caring and mutual respect developing their essential self while starting, leading, and sustaining their essential work. Born and raised in Jamaica, self-taught artist Davia A. Morris always held a fascination with art - particularly book illustrations and cartoons- which she incessantly worked on between classes while at Meadowbrook High school. After graduating, with support from both her mother and elder sister she continued to hone her artistic skills at every opportunity. To advance in her artistic journey, Davia chose to specialize in animation, first at the Games Academy and then later at the Vocational Training Development Institute where she obtained an Associate Degree in Animation.

Now at age 21 with skills in character design, and 2D and 3D animation, she is a freelance artist looking to make her mark in the industry as she continues to increase her knowledge in this area. Davia is the illustrator for eight of the twenty-one children's books in the SCREE Series
