She is author and coauthor of more than a dozen books, including Communication Theory: A Casebook Approach (2005), Changing the Culture of College Drinking: A Socially Situated Health (2005), and Voices of Recovery, a collection of stories by people who began their recovery from alcoholism while undergraduates at Rutgers.
