Ed Struzik has been called one of Canada's pre-eminent modern-day explorers by Canadian Geographic. He has received more than 30 awards for his writing, including the Science in Society Book Award for The Big Thaw, and he was nominated for the Grantham Prize for Excellence in reporting on the Environment.
