This kit has all the tools parenting professionals need to introduce the Developmental Assets to parents and caregivers and show them what they can do to help their kids succeed. The Presenter's Manual provides kit instructions and valuable presentation tips and preparation helpers to get started. The Presenter's Script captures the best of the asset anguage in a fully developed 25-minute script with outline and optional modules to tailor prestentations for different audiences (parents of preschoolers, elementary-age children, or teens). The kit includes 12 overhead transparencies (also available as PowerPoint downloads), stickers for information packets, handouts for attendees to take home, postcards to promote the presentation, asset-building stories from parents, and Search Institute books for reference. Everything you need to make your presentation to parents fun and engaging.

Nancy Tellett-Royce has been the community liaison at Search Institute since 1998. She provides youth and community development assistance to many of the 600 communities around the United States and Canada that are a part of Search Institute’s Healthy Communities • Healthy Youth® national initiative and delivers presentations and pre-conference sessions at national and regional conferences throughout the United States on the Developmental Assets framework and it application in community settings. Tellett-Royce co-chairs the St. Louis Park, MN Children First, a Healthy Communities • Healthy Youth initiative, named one of the “100 Best Communities for Young People” by America’s Promise, in recognition of the impact a focus on asset building has had on community youth. Prior to her work at Search Institute, she was the Director of Career Development for Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. She has a B.S. in Education from the University of Minnesota.
