This is the single most important collection of bibliographical data on American philosophy in the modern period. No other reference work or encyclopedia has such a complete listing of both major and minor works of philosophers. The Bibliography of Modern American Philosophy includes exhaustive listings of all works published, including those by many lesser-known figures, as well as lists of secondary sources. The Bibliography is based on the holdings of the Fisher Rare Book Library in Toronto, which acquired Slater's collection some time ago and has the most extensive holdings of modern Anglo-American philosophy in the world.
