The Book of God

The inspirational and motivational teachings presented in this book have been followed and practiced by a large number of people of the east for over six thousand years. Human experiences of these thousands of years have exhibited that if a person just follows the spirit of these teachings s/he will experience internal peace and happiness. In this book, the author first presents the eighteen verses, of Isha, within nine themes: (i) God and Material Universe (ii) Human Actions and Conscience (iii) Unity of God and The Universe (iv) Self-realization (v) The Nature of God (vi) Knowledge and Ignorance (vii) Creation and Destruction (viii) Cosmic Source of Energy. (ix) Action and Divine Will. Finally, the implications of these teachings for the lives of the 21st century readers, of all nationalities irrespective of their faith, are forwarded.This book teaches us how we can improve and empower ourselves and experience eternal happiness. It also guides us how to be divine (believing in God and divine powers), secular (allowing freedom of worship to all and respecting all ways of worship), universal (treating all humans with equality), and democratic (believing in social justice for all) republican (free to express and act individually while respecting community needs) without leaving one's faith. If one truly follows the teachings of this book s/he will experience peace within and outside.
