Featuring pieces written from 1994 to the present, this collection explores the minds of black youth in South Africa during apartheid. Collectively, they provide a provocative commentary of the realities of everyday life, tenderly yet intensely giving a voice to the rising youth who would become prominent players in the post-apartheid nation. Eric Miyeni is a South African writer, actor, and radio and television personality who is best known for his role as Darryl Malgas in the drama series Molo Fish. He has also appeared in numerous films, including Bopha!; Cry, the Beloved Country; and Dangerous Ground. His previous book is O'Mandingo!: The Only Black at a Dinner Party, based on his highly popular e-zine.
