Caillou: I'm Not Hungry!

Caillou doesn't like to be interrupted when he is playing and especially not for meals! Angry that he has to join the family, Caillou tells Mommy he doesn't like soup and wants chocolate cookies instead. The more the two of them battle, the more tired and unhappy they both get. Clever Grandpa steps in, and soon he and Caillou are pretending to be bears. When Grandpa announces he's as hungry as a bear, Caillou is too. This story illustrates how children use meals as a means of asserting themselves and how a diversion such as a game can allow for more positive interactions.
