Helen Buell Whitworth, MS, BSN, is a retired nurse, educator, and a writer. She has served the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) in a number of positions, including Volunteer Coordinator for a number of years, Outreach Chairperson for the year 2007-2008, and she was named the 2007 LBDA Volunteer of the Year. James Whitworth served as the first president of the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA), still volunteers on the LBDA Helpline, and is the site moderator for two Yahoo LBD caregiver support groups. After his first wife was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia, he (along with four others) co-founded the now nationally known Lewy Body Dementia Association.
