This story is set approx. 4,000 years ago and ranges from the plains of Scythia to the Great Lakes of North America and into the Mississippi Valley. Kaleen is an aboriginal girl. Adain is a Scythian boy. A series of mishaps brings them together, and their first lesson is learning how to communicate with each other. They are from different cultures and backgrounds but they must learn to cooperate in order to escape captivity. However, escape isn't their only problem - they don't know where they are and don't know how to get home again. Their adventures as they search for the way home takes them past a series of landmarks, still visible today. This story is based on recent discoveries and some startling evidence about the voyages undertaken by people who lived in that long-ago time.
