Marcus Felson has been a leader in crime theory and crime science, and his name has become synonymous with routine activity theory. This volume provides a rich collection of essays that honour the work of Marcus Felson, acknowledging his pioneering work whilst also making a substantive original contribution to the field.

Martin A. Andresen is an Associate Professor in the School of Criminology and Institute for Canadian Urban Research Studies, Simon Fraser University, Canada. His research areas are in spatial crime analysis, crime and place, geography of crime, environmental criminology, applied spatial statistics and geographical information analysis.

Graham Farrell is Professor and Research Chair in Environmental Criminology at Simon Fraser University, Canada. He has worked at the Police Foundation, Rutgers University, the United Nations, and University of Oxford and published fifteen books, particularly focused on crime prevention, repeat victimization, and the crime drop.
