El corazón heroico is a brilliant reading of the famous text The Thirty-Seven Stanzas of the Bodhisattva Practice. Based on her extensive experience, the author skillfully introduces readers to the practice of lojong, or mental training. The goal is to become a bodhisattva — that "hero" or "heroine" who possesses an unwavering determination to free others from suffering. Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo ordained as a Buddhist nun and eventually founded a monastery for women in India. In 2008, her sainthood the XII Gyalwang Drukpa, head of the Drukpa Kagyu lineage, bestowed on her the honorary title of Jetsunma (venerable teacher).
