El Efecto Tarantino (Rústica) Su cine y la cultura pop

When Quentin Tarantino presented Reservoir Dogs at Sundance in 1992, critics called it the best indie movie of all time. With his subsequent works, he had managed to make available to viewers -- digesting them, transforming them-- a number of films that had been relegated to the basements of production companies or in the gutters of memory. Throughout his career, Quentin has been able to absorb influences and subgenres—(like westerns or kung-fu movies, etc.) to create something new and hugely captivating for viewers.

Jordi Picatoste Verdejo (Barcelona, 1980) is a journalist and writer who specializes in cinema. His writing has appeared in numerous publications, including La Vangardia, ARA, ABC, Catalunya Ràdio/Catalunya Informació, Ràdio 4, Fotogramas and Mondo Sonoro. Coverage of festivals such as Cannes, Venecia and Locarno have allowed him to interview figures such as Christopher Lee, Roger Corman, Melanie Griffith, Woody Allen and Kathryn Bigelow. Author of  Paraísos Perdidos. 

Mauricio Bach (Barcelona, 1965) has been editor of Destino and editorial director of Ariel. He is a writer who contributes regularly to La Vanguardia and has written about arts and literature for El País and El Mundo, and in various other magazines. He has published stories and worked as an anthologist and translator. He is the author of Películas de culto and Dímela otra vez Sam.
