El yoga es uno de los primeros métodos de mejora y autoconocimiento destilado por el ser humano. Posee una larga historia, desde sus orígenes (hace varios milenios) hasta nuestros días, con miles de personas que lo practican en todo el mundo. Con una experiencia de más de sesenta años en la práctica y el estudio del yoga, Ramiro Calle sintetiza las distintas tradiciones de yoga –desde Patañjali o la filosofía Samkhya, pasando por los yogas tántricos o shivaístas, como el hatha, el kundalini o el mantra-yoga, hasta las dudosas técnicas deportivas que hoy en día se venden como «yoga» en muchos centros o gimnasios– para urgirnos a recuperar las enseñanzas espirituales más profundas de la India.

Yoga is an age-old practice that was developed for the betterment of human beings through personal insight. The root of its inception dates back several millennia and continues to reach us in our daily lives, where thousands of people still practice it across the globe. Ramiro Calle has practiced and studied yoga for more than 60 years, and his in-depth knowledge walks us through the various traditions of yoga: from Patañjali or Samkhya philosophy, to tantric yoga or shaivism, hatha, kundalini, or mantra-yoga, all the way up to the sport-like practice of yoga that can be found in modern-day gyms. Ramiro Calle is a pioneer of yoga in Spain and has led the yoga center Shadak since 1971. He is a former yoga teacher at the Autonomous University of Madrid and is the author of Autobiografía espiritual, La sabidura de los grandes yoguis, and La senda de la atención plena.
