Engaging Boys in Treatment: Creative Approaches to the Therapy Process

This edited book is the first of its kind to focus on creative approaches to the treatment of boys, providing a valuable resource for both students and professionals seeking new and effective strategies for reaching their young male clients. Chapters discuss the theory behind and implementation of various creative approaches to therapy with boys, such as play therapy, including sports, movement, and gross-motor activity; animal-assisted therapy; the use of computers and digital animation; the use of superheroes in role play, metaphor, and play therapy; and art therapy.
