European Union Policy Towards The Arab-Israeli Peace Process The Quicksands of Politics

What are the achievements, the limits and the failures of the EU's involvement in the Arab-Israeli conflict? This book sets out to answer this question by analysing the development of European policy towards the conflict over the last fifty years and focusing in particular on three aspects: the convergence among EU member states policies; the development of the EU's foreign policy instruments, and the complex dynamics of EU-US relations in the Middle East.

Dr. Costanza Musu is Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs of the University of Ottawa. She obtained her PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Subsequently she was Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence and Assistant Professor of International Relations at Richmond University (London-UK). She edited, with Nicola Casarini, the Palgrave volume on European Foreign Policy since the Maastricht Treaty.
