What do you do when life's illusions run out? That's what Dresden Suitzs, high level government investigator, has to figure out as he tackles his biggest mystery - the strange suicides of the world's top CEO's and bankers, which have crippled public confidence in the financial system. But Dresden has other problems: he's an atheist who nevertheless has been resurrected by God several times; a substance abuser; and by his own admission, he's possibly insane. Oh and he's in love with a dangerous woman who might be behind all these mysterious deaths he is investigating. And a relentlessly honest FBI man is investigating him for all kinds of crimes.
