Diane Bell was a professor of anthropology and women''s studies at George Washington University until 2004. Her anthropological monographs have won national awards and are admired for their innovative and energetic style. She is the author of Daughters of the Dreaming, Gendered Fields, Generations: Grandmothers, Mothers and Daughters, and Ngarrindjeri Wurruwarrin: A World That Is, Was, and Will Be. She is the coeditor of Radically Speaking: Feminism Reclaimed. She now lives in Adelaide, Australia.
