Eyes Toward the South

Eyes Toward The South offers an insightful portrayal of Southern hero John Yates Beall as war leads him into the eastern theater as a soldier, lures him to the western theater as an undercover operative, and draws him to the Chesapeake as a privateer. He then lands in the midst of the scheme to free 2500 Rebels from Johnson's Island prison. The war forces Beall to struggle with the eroding code of honor he lives by, leading him to become driven only to inflict pain upon the enemy, to live to fight another day, and to survive to marry the enchanting Martha O'Bryan.
