Mary Alice MacGyver has just turned nine years old and is in over her head when Mrs. Reed asks her to look out for her grandson, Andrew, at school. Elizabeth P. Smith grew up in Hartsdale, New York, and graduated from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey with a BA in art studio. She received her Masters in Education from the State University of New York at Potsdam and taught in Upstate New York for twenty-eight years. She is married and has three adult children, and two grandchildren. Elizabeth and her husband Bruce live in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This is her first book.
