James Harms is the author of three previous books of poetry, Quarters (2001), The Joy Addict (1998) and Modern Ocean (1992). He lives with his family in Morgantown, West Virginia, where he is professor of English and directs the M.F.A. Program in Creative Writing at West Viriginia University
