Stefano Carboni is Associate Curator, Department of Islamic Art, at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. He graduated at the Faculty of Oriental Languages at the University of Venice, before obtaining his doctorate in Islamic Art and Archaeology at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London
