Harry Hampton often wondered aloud what life would be like if Eve had not eaten of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. following the untimely violent death of his parents and wife in the same accident God instructed him to build a spacecraft and he would tell him where to go. He tried to ignore God's instructions but God kept insisting. After realizing he had no choice, he built the spaceship he knew could make such a trip and return. Having been a test pilot earlier in his life he was confident he could fly it. When it was time to go he put his Bible, a globe and a family photo album into the spacecraft and took off depending on God to direct him. Almost as soon as he was aloft his instruments quit working and he passed out. He awoke just in time to land on a runway he could see straight ahead of him. After landing he was met by a woman who introduced herself as the mayor. In a short time he learned that everything here seemed to be about the same as where he had come from except they spoke a different language. This presented no problem because whenever he talked directly to a person they could understand each other. A few days after his arrival Harry appeared before a group of people comprised of other mayors and the Governor. He learned that here Eve did not eat the forbidden fruit when tempted. He also learned they worshiped the same God. Its was also decided that Alice Clayton, the mayor he met when he first arrived would be responsible for his needs.During the time spent there he learned how they they handled their health problem, labor problems and retirement matters. He also fell in love with Alice but knew this love could not be because had sinned and neither she nor the other people there had not. He also was convinced their planet and his planet was identical.Harry returned home. When he told of his experience only his friends believed him. Others tried to make him out as a liar and a con man. It did not matter to Harry whether people believed him of not but it did to his sons and daughter. His son Jon thought of a risky plan to prove he was not lying. To work the other planet had to have one thing Harry's planet did not have. If it failed Harry would appear worse. Should he take this chance? Did he? Did it work?
