Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors--All Hail the King!

Godzilla's been missing for a year, and teen vlogger Cedric desperately wants new content, but alien invaders and enemy kaiju may change his mind!

Don't get us wrong, no Godzilla sightings means no destruction, and that's no bad thing. But Cedric's vlog views are dropping, and he's facing competition and trolling in the form of Karen Higa and cyberbully Dragon. But nothing brings rivals together like a common enemy. When the otherworldly Xiliens begin using psychic technology to probe every mind on Earth for knowledge of Godzilla, they awaken the three-headed dragon King Ghidorah instead! Our kaiju-connected heroes, Cedric, Emily, and Anderson, will need all the help they can get to summon Godzilla and face the new threats!

Is there any way Godzilla can defeat the golden gargantuan? Can the Xiliens control the monster they've unleashed? Will anyone—human, alien, or kaiju—be left standing when the smoke clears?

Erik Burnham (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Saturday Morning Adventures) and Dan Schoening (Transformers/Ghostbusters: Ghosts of Cybertron) continue their contemporary take on the King of Monsters with this sequel to Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors--Rise Up!

Erik Burnham is a Minnesotan writer and artist that first broke into comics by way of the Nick Landime feature from Shooting Star Comics. This led first to other anthologies and then work for IDW Publishing, including his critically acclaimed work on the Ghostbusters line of comic books and, currently, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Erik's been fortunate to work with many companies in the last few years, including Cryptozoic, Dynamite, IDW, Insight Editions, Marvel, and Panini on properties such as Godzilla, GI Joe, Ghostbusters, TMNT, Scarlet Spider, New Warriors, and Red Sonja--with more on the way (which is good news, because he loves his work.) Erik still lives in Minnesota; any rumors about this being because he's completely afraid of the forty-nine other states (and Canada) remain unverified at this time.
