A Green Place For Dying

In A Green Place for Dying, the fifth Meg Harris mystery, Meg returns to her home in West Quebec and learns that the daughter of a friend has been missing from the Migiskan Reserve for over two months. The police say that the body of a young native woman has been found. Fortunately, it turns out not to be her friend's daughter Fleur, but the police still view her as a runaway and refuse to ramp up their search. Meg discovers that Fleur isn't the only native woman who has gone missing-fifteen have disappeared over the past five years, with four of them turning up dead, and the local police seem to be doing little about it.
