Heks Island - Earth

After losing his parents in 1879, young Ben Bouvier becomes a ward of the state of Alabama. Ben spends six long years desperately wanting to BELONG somewhere. Finally, completing his medical internship at a Florida asylum, he takes his chance to fit into Southern society in Waycross, Georgia. But betrayal, voodoo and plain bad luck cause his life to spin out of control and land him in the Georgia prison system. His escape to the dark and brooding Okefenokee Swamp is a story about finding love, family and belonging.
