I See the Sun in Nepal depicts one day from dawn until night in a young girl¿s life in the small village of Bandipur, Nepal. Waking, eating, doing chores, going to school, playing with friends, all occur within the context of time of day. The ordinary activities of life, to which we all relate, are described in simple prose and vivid collages of cut paper, drawings and photography of Nepal. The story is told from the child's perspective. Children everywhere will be able to recognize, not only the differences in the culture, but also the similarities we all share. The devanagari script is the Nepali translation of the English and becomes an integral part of the artwork.
