Abdulaziz Sachedina is the Francis Myers Ball professor of Religious Studies at the University of Virginia. He has been conducting research and writing in the field of Islamic Law, Ethics, and Theology (Sunni and Shi'ite) for more than two decades. He is the author of a number of publications including Islamic Biomedical Ethics and The Prolegomena to the Qur'an.
