When James Henry Trotter accidentally drops some magic crystals by the old peach tree, strange things start to happen. Roald Dahl was born in Wales in 1916 of Norwegian parents. He grew up in England and lived there until his death in 1990. At the onset of World War II, he joined the Royal Air Force and became a fighter pilot.
