Principal Fields' announcement about Spirit Week creates a flurry of excitement at Abigail Adams Junior High, but soon Ms. R's class is at odds. A rumor circulates about Isabel and Kevin Connors, a popular athlete who also loves art. Then a series of mean emails and not funny jokes pit classmates against one another. Soon it's boys against the girls and Isabel is at the center of it all. The Beacon Street Girls and their classmates learn first hand that gossip can sperad quickly and cause a great deal of damage in its path.
