This book helps the reader develop a complete view of the study of Kinesiology. In addition to historical and philosophical justifications for the study of Kinesiology, this book also provides a look at the field's many subdisciplines, including sport sciences, including exercise physiology and sport humanities, including sport psychology. Emphasis is placed on the different types of knowledge that are most often used in Kinesiology, including the scientific method, observation, critical thinking, and stow telling. The book concludes with a discussion of the nature of human movement and how the field has been affected by various education reform movements.
