John Dickson (PhD, Macquarie University, Sydney) is a Senior Research Fellow of the Department of Ancient History, Macquarie University, Sydney, and co-director of Australia's Centre for Public Christianity (www.publicchristianity.org), an independent research and media organization promoting the public understanding of the Christian faith. Starting his career as a singer, he is now the author of more than a dozen books, including the award-winning A Spectator's Guide to World Religions and The Best Kept Secret of Christian Mission: Promoting the Gospel with More Than Our Lips, and has hosted two major television documentaries on the life of Jesus.
