No cabe duda de que nuestra era cultural trae retos multifacéticos a nuestras experiencias diarias. Las presiones son tangibles y obvias para la mayoría de nosotros, pero nos hemos vuelto inconscientes de cómo estas "presiones" moldean nuestro carácter y afectos. Desde a quién y qué adoramos hasta cuándo y dónde invertimos nuestro tiempo, la realidad es que nuestras acciones moldean fundamentalmente nuestros corazones directa e indirectamente. En este libro, Ana Ávila nos muestra que muchas veces no estamos conscientes de cómo la cultura nos moldea, y por lo tanto dejamos de ver que estamos siendo enseñados a amar a dioses rivales en lugar de amar a Aquel para quien fuimos hechos.Debemos actuar y aprender a construir hábitos que nos ayuden a ser proactivos en nuestro crecimiento y maduración en la fe cristiana.

There is no doubt that our cultural moment brings forth multifaceted challenges to our daily experience. The pressures are tangible and obvious to most of us, but we have become unaware of how these "pressures" are molding our character and affections. From who and what we worship, to when and where we invest time our time, the reality is that our actions fundamentally shape our hearts both directly and indirectly.
In this book Ana Ávila will show us that we are not often aware of how culture shapes us, and therefore we miss to see that we are being taught to love rival gods instead of the One for whom we were made. We must take action and learn to build habits that make us proactive in our growth and maturity in the Christian faith.

 

Ana Ávila es una autora mejicana. Escribió el libro:  “Aprovecha bien el tiempo: una guía práctica para honrar a Dios con tu día”. Es escritora senior en Coalición por el Evangelio, el sitio de contenido cristiano más grande en español, donde ha servido por más de siete años. Tiene una licenciatura en biología química y clínica de la Universidad de Sonora y un diplomado en estudios bíblicos del Instituto Integridad y Sabiduría. Es becaria consultora en la organización Blueprint 1543 y co-lidera “Deep Training for Wider Impact”, un proyecto de fe y ciencia hecho posible gracias a la fundación Templeton.
Vive en la ciudad de Guatemala, junto a su esposo y sus dos hijos.

Ana Ávila is a mexican author. She wrote the book “Aprovecha bien el tiempo: una guía práctica para honrar a Dios con tu día” (Use Time Well: A Practical Guide to Honoring God with Your Day) Ana is a Senior Writer at Coalición por el Evangelio, the largest Christian content website in Spanish, where she has served for more than seven years. She has a degree in Clinical Chemical Biology from the University of Sonora and a diploma in Biblical Studies from the Integrity and Wisdom Institute. Ana is a Consulting scholar in the organization Blueprint 1543 and co-leader of “Deep Training for Wider Impact”, a faith and science project made possible by the Templeton Foundation.
