ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

The story being told in Maricón perdido.

“Bob Pop is our Fran Lebowitz.” —Laura Barrachina, El Ojo Crítico

“A novel that will be of great interest to all those readers that, just as our author, are tired of being clients.” —Marta Sanz

Mateo is not having his best night. “Who am I? Client. Young (thirty-four). Fat. Handsome. Rich. Homosexual. Alcoholic (neither a drug addict, nor a genius, Truman). Insecure. Paranoid. Jumpy. Smiley. And polite.”On his way home after dinner and plenty of alcohol, he can’t find a taxi and decides to stop at a sauna, rest for a while, maybe find some company, clear his head, not go home alone and devastated. But there are days that never end, and nights in which a meek client maybe forced toshed his skin.

The Meek, first published in 2010, is the first novel by a then unknown Roberto Enríquez, whom we now read, follow, and listen as Bob Pop.
