The Mayor, the Town and the Money Tree

"The Mayor, the Town and the Moneytree" is a novel of about 67,500 words. It is intended to be grotesquely humorous. It is about a small town mayor who is honest and conscientious. His community is beset with problems but he lacks the fiscal resources to address them. He has an opportunity to obtain money for his city but he has good reason to believe this financing is tainted and may involve crime. As the story unfolds an array of complications set in that spin off a number of sub-plots. The work is intentionally quirky but has some pathos.
