Memphis Impressions

Schatz's photographs convey Memphis's rich musical history, from Beale Street to famous Stax Records and Sun Studios to Graceland. A portrait of the River City wouldn't be complete without images of the mighty Missouri, including the American Queen Riverboat, Mud Island River Park, and more. Informative captions accompany the images, which include such solemn landmarks as the Lorraine Hotel, now part of the National Civil Rights Museum. It also portrays Memphis's charming sites, such as the Peabody Hotel and its famous ducks, the fountains of Court Square, and lush Overton Park. Schatz's images celebrate Memphis culture, from its barbecue joints to its Victorian-era neighborhoods.
