Moss Grove

In the sequel to "Olivia's Favorites: the outstanding graduates of 1898 pursue their careers at home and abroad in Paris, France, but sucess doesn't come easily for the movie-makers, although Mayfred is blossomng into an accomplished actor. Although Bartholomew (Beebee) Brantley finds an angel to finance their productions, the group disbands and returns to Pennsylvania on the Titanic. Their world is upset by World War I and the flu pandemic, and personal tragedies change them, as well as their home town, Moss Grove. Olivia remains a steadying influence upon her favorite students, but her main occupation is caring for her family and helping her husband Gustav to become an important man while an isolation of the city is threatened by the departing railroad. It's a fight Gustav relishes, as he stays true to his convictions with help from Ardith, the journalist, who has her own struggle to keep her child. Truly, Moss Grove, affected by troubled times, takes on a different nature.
