The Multilingual Screen New Reflections on Cinema and Linguistic Difference

Tijana Mamula is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Film at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy. She holds a PhD in Film Studies from King's College London, UK, and has contributed articles and reviews to Screen, Studies in French Cinema, Avanguardia, Bright Lights Film Journal, Transnational Cinemas, Oxford Bibliographies, and the contemporary art magazine NERO, where she is also a contributing editor. Her book Cinema and Language Loss: Displacement, Visuality and the Filmic Image was published in 2012.

Lisa Patti is Visiting Assistant Professor of Media and Society at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in New York, USA. She received her PhD in comparative literature with a concentration in film and video from Cornell University, USA, and is co-author of Film Studies: A Global Introduction (with Glyn Davis, Kay Dickinson, and Amy Villarejo; forthcoming) and is currently completing her book Mobile-lingualism: New Media, Contemporary Cinephilia, and Translation.
