Museums and Design Education: Looking to Learn, Learning to See

While there are many examples of good practice in the UK of museums and universities working together in productive and innovative ways, these still tend to be based on individual enthusiasm and opportunistic arrangements. Learning to Look explores issues, projects, and emerging ideas about how museums can better support students studying design and related subjects. By looking at the interaction between design students and museums and their collections, this book illustrates the more general lessons we can learn, both strategic and practical, to bring about the more succesful embedding of long-term and constructive relationships between museums and universities so as to enable effective student learning.
