National Railway Museum Diary 2008

This diary showcases a selection of the most popular posters from the collection of the England's National Railway Museum. Showing nostalgic images of the Flying Scotsman and other famous engines, glamorous destinations, dramatic landscapes and sunny beaches, all these posters were commissioned in the golden age of railway travel for display in waiting rooms, booking offices and on platforms to entice the traveler. Each week has a full-page color illustration and the diary includes national and religious holidays and astronomical information. The National Railway Museum in York is the largest of its kind in the world. It holds an exceptional collection of about 8,000 railway posters dating back to the 1920s.
