Don Garrett is Silver Professor of Philosophy at New York University. He is the author of Hume and Cognition and Commitment in Hume's Philosophy, and the editor of The Cambridge Companion to Spinoza. A member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, he has served as co-editor of Hume Studies and as North American editor of Archiv f?r Geschichte der Philosophie.
