Michael Baisden was born June 26, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois. After two years of college he joined the Air Force where he continued his education and became interested in literature. "Terry McMillan, Ralph Ellison, Napoleon Hill, and Jawanza Kunjufu were among my favorites," he says. "But I felt there was a void in the book industry." There were very few authors writing about relationships from the man's perspective."
