New Crusaders: Legacy

Legacy of the Crusaders is an innovative blend of reprint and new material woven together to create a brand new kind of graphic novel experience! When a mysterious villain attacks the seemingly normal town of Red Circle, the town's adults suddenly vanish. The kids left behind are brought together by an old man who turns out to be the long-forgotten superhero, the Shield, and they discover that their missing parents were once his teammates in the greatest superhero group that ever lived, the Mighty Crusaders. In order to defeat the forces of evil and rescue their missing parents, these teens must become the next generation of super heroes: the NEW CRUSADERS. An enveloping narrative featuring 17 pages of new material by the New Crusaderscreative team (Ian Flynn, Ben Bates) shows the Shield teaching these young heroes about the early history of the Mighty Crusaders, seen by the reader in the form of some of the best classic tales from Archie's Red Circle superhero comics from the 1980s. IAN FLYNN has been the chief writer for Archie's popular and record-setting SONIC THE HEDGEHOG comic for more than five years, including the headline-grabbing SONIC: GENESIS storyline and graphic novel. He is the main writer of its sister title SONIC UNIVERSE and accompanying graphic novels since the title's inception, and is also the writer of Archie's MEGA MAN series, another critical and popular hit. Flynn also helmed the historic meetings of Sonic and Mega Man in the hugely popular SONIC/MEGA MAN: WORLDS COLLIDE and WORLDS UNITE storylines, and wrote the critically-acclaimed NEW CRUSADERS series, Archie's return to the superhero genre.
