Oregon Geology

Because Oregon sits on the leading edge of a moving crustal plate, a striking diversity of geologic events have molded its topography. Elizabeth L. Orr is curator at the Condon Collection at the Museum of Natural and Cultural History at University of Oregon. William N. Orr, emeritus professor of geology at University of Oregon, is director of the Condon Collection. The Orrs have coauthored Geology of the Pacific Northwest, Oregon Water: An Environmental History, and Oregon Fossils (OSU Press).
