Sofía Macías nació en la Ciudad de México el 25 de agosto de 1984. Ha trabajado para diferentes medios especializados en finanzas y negocios. Fue editora de portada del diario El Economista y en febrero del 2008 abrió el blog Pequeño Cerdo Capitalista, donde aborda diferentes temas enfocados en finanzas personales y que explica para el público general. La autora cursó una Maestría en Administración de Negocios (MBA) en la École Supérieure de Commerce de Rennes, en Francia, y la licenciatura en Periodismo en la Escuela de Periodismo Carlos Septién García. Ha sido vocera y responsable de contenido de Consumo Inteligente, el programa de educación financiera de MasterCard, y es colaboradora de las revistas Expansión, Dinero Inteligente y Entrepreneur.
