The book tells an intimate story and chronicles the beginning of a great era for Italian fashion. Starting from Milan’s extraordinary energy in the 1960s up until the most recent events for which Armani has taken a stand through his work, his thinking has always been, and continues to be, consistent and straightforward.

Giorgio Armani was born in Piacenza, Italy, in 1934. He founded his namesake company in 1975, launching his line of ready-to-wear. In 2015, to mark his fortieth anniversary, he opened Armani/Silos in Milan, an exhibition space that houses his creations and hosts temporary exhibitions.
