The first edition of this book published in 1992 has proved an invaluable guide to all involved in curriculum matters. In order to take account of the changes that have taken place in the last 4 years, this edition was totally revised and extended to include new material. Now published din two volumes, they outline the latest trends and issues and as a consequence are an extremely important source of material. The work is written in a clear and accessible style and is suitable for a large variety of individuals and groups involved in curriculum matters. Each of 44 concepts is examined in a separate chapter, describing its major features, controversies, strengths and weaknesses. At the end of each chapter there are follow-up questions designed to challenge the reader to reflect further on specific issues raised.
